Unfortunately, the situation with veterinary feeds on the Russian market is much worse. All the above-mentioned Russian companies produce feeds for healthy animals, at most preventive (hypoallergenic, prevention of urolithiasis, etc.). It will be much worse for the owners of animals that are on veterinary feeds - for example, on the Royal Canin or Hill's veterinary lines.
True, Royal has its own factory in Russia, so there is a chance that the manufacturer will either stay or register it as belonging to a nominally Russian company. As for the medicinal feeds of Purina, it is quite likely that they will be imported from neighboring neutral Mongolia - however, most likely, due to transportation costs, the price will increase.
And if the pet is forced to eat only Hill's food - for example, for animals with protein intolerance - then the news is bad. Some optimism is inspired only by the fact that Hill's has not yet announced its withdrawal from the market. But the company does not have its own production in Russia, the food is manufactured at factories in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and France - which means that at any moment their flow to our territory, which is already meager due to logistical problems, may cease. There are no Russian analogues of Hill's therapeutic food, and even if there are, it is unknown what quality and how much time it will take to set up production. So it is better to stock up on Hill's veterinary food for future use.
