10 Newest Inventions of 2023

Modern technologies continue to surprise and conquer, so we consider it necessary to tell our readers about the best inventions of winter 2023. Some of them will probably seem meaningless to you. But there are also those that can safely be called a valuable find for humanity. We will tell you about everything in more detail below!

Man and robot

"Smart" doors, earphones-orderlies, a chameleon car, a toilet paper controller and more shocked people around the world last year. But now the second month of 2023 is coming to an end, and at the same time the third month of winter. Therefore, this is just the right time to evaluate the latest in the world of inventions that "opened" this year!

1. Multifunctional exoskeleton

Various gadgets and devices that once seemed like something fantastic are becoming our reality today. For example, many people have tried to create high-quality exoskeletons for a long time. But it was the Bionic company that managed to cope with the task at a high level, presenting the world with Cray X. The creation has already been awarded at an international development exhibition.

This exoskeleton is a device that is attached to the back and relieves the load on the lower back and hips during lifting or carrying heavy objects. In addition, the electronics are also able to track the wearer's level of fatigue. At high levels, the exoskeleton relieves the wearer during long walks.

Of course, the device has an application that records statistics and gives advice.

2. Graphene heater

The Graphene Radiator is a South Korean company that invented the Graphene Square. It is a heater that runs on graphene.

Although it is still just a prototype, the device has already passed tests, meeting the expectations of its creators.

The technology looks like a fireplace. However, it works like a virtual one, because a hologram of a live fire appears on the glass system, and the heat is provided by electricity.

But the system itself is much cheaper than its analogues. And all thanks to the graphene generator, which can reduce the price of the device by about a third.

3. Anti-snoring pillow

How many people are annoyed by snoring? Yes. Most people encounter this problem in family life, when they have to suffer at night because of unpleasant sounds from their partner. However, the company 10minds from South Korea has announced a solution!

The developers offer potential buyers an anti-snoring pillow called Motion Pillow. The product design has a couple of audio sensors and several special inflatable sections.

The invention works like this:

  1. the person starts snoring;
  2. the sensor records the sound;
  3. With the help of sections, the pillow changes the position of the head.

Interestingly, the latter is not done randomly, but according to a special system. In other words, the head does not simply turn, but takes exactly the position that will expand the airways.

The Motion Pillow will be available to purchase around mid-2023.

4. "Smart" stroller

The "smart" GlüxKind Ella stroller was created by the Germans from GlüxKind Technologies. The peculiarity of this creation is its absolute autonomy. It is noteworthy that such capabilities are currently only found in expensive driverless cars.

The stroller can detect obstacles on the way, overcome them, move uphill and downhill (thereby minimizing the efforts of adults), and can also independently move next to a person if there is no child in it.

5. Tactile display

The real giants of the modern market have long ago introduced options for people with visual or hearing impairments in their works. However, the visually impaired will probably be most pleased with the innovative Dot Pad gadget from Dot Incorporation.

This is a screen that moves in the literal sense. It has retractable pins (about 2,700 of them) built into it. They are the ones that form the graphic image into a tactile one and translate the text into Braille.

The display should work in tandem with any other gadget (from a smartphone to a computer), connecting via Bluetooth. But at this stage of development, Dot Pad only supports technologies from Apple. In the future, this will certainly be corrected.

6. Withings U-Scan: Toilet-mounted urine analyzer

You've definitely never seen or heard anything like this! Withings U-Scan is a urine analyzer. The device is attached to the toilet.

It can be used to analyze urine and obtain information about:

  1. nutrition;
  2. dehydration of the body;
  3. ovulation cyclase;
  4. metabolic rate;
  5. vitamin C levels.

The results are sent to the user via Wi-Fi.

The gadget needs to be charged once every 3 months using Type-C. The analyzer cartridge also needs to be changed.

Please note that 1 cartridge is designed for 100 pissings.

What is no less surprising is the price of the invention. It is 500 euros for the device itself and 30 euros for the cartridge.

7. Transparent TV from LG

LG is ready to offer consumers transparent screens in the form of doors for shopping centers or walls. But the new product of winter 2023 was a transparent TV from the developers of this brand.

When an image appears on the screen, the device no longer appears transparent.

It goes without saying that such technology for almost 6 thousand euros is unlikely to be useful to anyone at home. But shopping centers or offices will definitely find a use for it.

8. Voice imitator

Along with the tactile display, there is another very useful thing presented by the Acapela Group. The creators are ready to offer people who are capable of losing their voice (this applies to those who have progressive diseases that entail a gradual loss of speech functions) to make a digital imprint of their own voice.

The company's employees claim that this procedure is very fast: you only need to read 50 sentences. Then the artificial intelligence will begin to synthesize the voice.

Many may immediately recall the robotic voice of Stephen Hawking, which has been played up more than once in pop culture (including in the TV series The Big Bang Theory).

The service is already up and running. But in addition to its main function, there are a couple of interesting nuances. For example, the user can make a voice copy, listen to the result, correct it and leave it on the company's platforms. And you can pay for it only when you need to use it. There are 2 payment options:

  1. 99 euros per year;
  2. 999 EUR lifetime license.

In addition, today the service already supports more than ten languages. Moreover, the system distinguishes geographical areas: British English, American English, native Spanish, etc.

9. SentiV Robot

SentiV is an agricultural robot scout whose job it is to go around fields and find weeds. Unfortunately, it still can't remove them...

The robot is only capable of assessing beds and lawns, finding harmful plants.

10. Greenhouse harvesting robot

Yes, yes, if the previous version could only estimate the size of the work, then this one can help with the implementation of some tasks.

The Japanese invention was designed to harvest sweet peppers grown in greenhouses. Each fruit ripens at its own time, so greenhouse caretakers had to walk through the walls of foliage every day to find the vegetables.

But this invention helped to simplify the work considerably. The idea was to stretch a cable between the rows. The device moves along it. The robot can independently find pepper fruits, assess them from all sides, and cut them. At the same time, the technology also allows you to create a virtual map of the fruits indicating their level of ripeness.

You have probably already seen that the imagination of modern scientists has no limits! And if we are so surprised by today's technologies, then what can we expect from the gadgets of the future?.. Whatever it is, you will learn about it from our materials!
