Canapes for New Year 2025: Simple Recipes on Skewers

Canapes are miniature shaped sandwiches that look attractive on the New Year's table and do not lose their shape until the end of the feast. They are easy to serve and take from a common dish, especially if the ingredients are collected on skewers. Canapes with red caviar

Sandwiches are made on rye or white bread. But slices of loaf fried in butter until golden brown will highlight the taste of caviar. The snack is made 15-20 minutes before serving.

  • 5 tbsp red caviar;
  • bread;
  • 2-3 boiled eggs;
  • 8 tbsp butter;
  • half a lemon;
  • green onions.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the eggs into thin slices.
  2. Bread – slices. Cut a small circle out of each.
  3. Grease the bread blanks with butter. Place an egg circle on top, and caviar above.
  4. Thread onto a skewer. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Instead of bread, you can use slices of fresh cucumber.

With herring

Sandwiches will leave unpleasant memories if you come across a fish bone. Therefore, it is better to use herring fillet, but still inspect it first and, if necessary, remove any bones.

  • 2-3 pieces of loaf;
  • soft cheese;
  • 2-3 gherkins or other cucumbers;
  • 2-3 pieces of fish.

Preparation:

  1. Cover the loaf slices with cheese.
  2. Place the herring slices on top.
  3. Place the cucumber on top of the fish.
  4. Secure with skewers.
  5. Garnish with parsley sprigs and onion rings.

Overly salted herring is soaked in milk for 2–3 hours before cooking.

With cheese and grapes

Mini sandwiches look delicious with grapes. But canapés will turn out no worse if you replace the grapes with tangerine slices or orange pieces (fresh or canned).

Ingredients:

  • hard cheese;
  • grape berries.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the cheese into cubes.
  2. Sort the grapes and rinse under the tap. Dry.

  • 150 g each of crab sticks and cheese;
  • 1 cucumber;
  • 15 pitted olives (or black olives);
  • sprigs of parsley.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the cheese, sticks and cucumber into cubes.
  2. Wash and dry the parsley.
  3. Assemble the layers in the following order: cheese, stick, parsley leaf, cucumber, olive. Pierce the layers with a skewer.

If guests don't like crab sticks, replace them with ham. The taste of the canapes will change, but it won't get worse.

With shrimps

The recipe is interesting because cucumber slices are used instead of bread.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber (long);
  • 400 g shrimp;
  • 100 g of cottage cheese;
  • sprigs of greenery.

Preparation:

  1. Boil the shrimp until done. Peel.
  2. Cut the cucumbers into medium-thick slices.
  3. Place cucumbers on a plate. On each circle - cream cheese, then shrimp.
  4. Garnish with a sprig of dill or parsley.

  • 10 cherry tomatoes;
  • mayonnaise and herbs to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Boil the eggs. Cool. Peel.
  2. Wash the tomatoes. Dry them.
  3. Cut each into two halves. Discard the pulp.
  4. Place an egg in each tomato halves.
  5. Place on a skewer so that the tomato cap is on top.
  6. Decorate each cap with dots of mayonnaise or thick sour cream.

  • 1 carrot;
  • 150 g soft cheese;

Preparation:

  1. Peel, wash and dry the carrots.
  2. Cut into circles. Cut out a triangular sector from each.
  3. Add salt to the cheese and mix with chopped herbs.
  4. Cut large olives and fill with cheese filling.

"Mimosa"

Wonderful mini-sandwiches "Mimosa" will replace the salad of the same name. In the recipe, baked mackerel can be replaced with canned. But fish cooked in the oven will give the dish a more original taste and aroma.

Ingredients:

  • 350 g mackerel fillet;
  • 150 g of any mayonnaise;
  • 5 eggs;
  • 250 g each of carrots and potatoes;
  • 300 g of bread of any kind;
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil;
  • 3 tbsp liquid Teriyaki sauce;
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika;
  • 1 bunch of green onions;
  • salt, sugar, ground pepper to your taste.

Garnish with small boiled shrimps and olives.

Preparation:

  1. Prepare a marinade from the sauce, paprika and black pepper.
  2. Coat the fillet on all sides. Leave for a quarter of an hour.
  3. Meanwhile, wash the potatoes and dry them.
  4. Wrap the fillet in foil. Do the same with the potatoes. Put both packages in the oven for 25-30 minutes, where they bake at 180-190°C.
  5. Boil the eggs.
  6. Peel the carrots, grate them, and fry them in oil.
  7. Salt the cooked potatoes, add sugar, mix and transfer to a separate bowl.
  8. Cool the mackerel and chop with a fork.
  9. Grate the cooled potatoes on a coarse grater.
  10. Peel the eggs and cut into large slices.
  11. Cut the crusts off the bread. Divide the slices into small pieces.
  12. Cover each piece of bread with a layer of potatoes, previously greased with mayonnaise.
  13. Sprinkle with chopped onion.
  14. Spread the fish, coated with mayonnaise, on top.
  15. Next, put the carrots. And finally, a piece of boiled egg.

Decorate with pre-cooked shrimps. Secure the products with skewers.

With chicken and pineapple

The flavor combinations of the dish's ingredients are familiar and loved by many. But serving it as a canape will delight even gourmets. The dish looks great and flies off the New Year's table in an instant.

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet and seasoning;
  • 3-4 rings of canned pineapple;
  • clove of garlic;
  • 3 leaves of dry mint;
  • orange;
  • salt and pepper to your taste;
  • oil for frying.

Preparation:

  1. Rub the fillet on all sides with seasoning. Add salt and pepper if necessary.
  2. Place mint and chopped garlic in a heated frying pan with oil.
  3. Place the fillet in a frying pan. Fry until golden brown.

With marinated zucchini and cheese

Any cheese will do for this recipe. If the cheese is soft, put it in the freezer before using. Hard cheese will be easy to grate.

Ingredients:

  • 1 fresh zucchini;
  • 1 lemon;
  • cheese;
  • 15 g mayonnaise;
  • 10 g dill;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • cherry tomatoes:
  • salt, ground black pepper.

Preparation:

  1. Cut fresh zucchini into slices. Transfer to a separate bowl.
  2. Salt and pepper the zucchini. Add lemon juice.

With apple, banana, mulberry

A festive table cannot do without fruit. They are usually placed on a plate. But for some time now, serving them as canapes has become common practice. This is a very original presentation of a fruit treat and a good snack for an aperitif.

  • 1 sweet apple;
  • ½ banana;
  • 5 mulberries (frozen or fresh).

Before cooking, frozen mulberries are defrosted and left to drain.

  1. Cut the banana into slices 1–1.5 cm thick.

With cheese, garlic, red pepper

To prepare canapes according to this recipe, you will need the simplest products. But the appearance and taste of the sandwiches will exceed all expectations.

Ingredients:

  • quail eggs;
  • black bread;
  • 100 g cheese;
  • clove of garlic;
  • 1-2 tbsp mayonnaise;
  • parsley leaves;
  • 1 red pepper.

You will need a mold or a glass (goblet) to cut out bread circles.

Preparation:

  1. Boil the eggs and peel them.
  2. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  3. Add mayonnaise and chopped garlic to the cheese. Mix with a fork.
  4. Cut out round circles of medium thickness from slices of black bread.
  5. Spread each circle with cheese paste.
  6. Place a parsley leaf on top of the spread, but not in the center of the circle, but on the side.
  7. Place an egg on a skewer and secure it in the center of the bread circle.
  8. Place a square of pepper next to the egg.
