On the eve of the New Year holidays, almost everyone is busy choosing the perfect gifts, decorating their apartment and workplace. This is really wonderful, because such little things create a festive mood. We suggest experimenting a little for the New Year 2025 and decorating a bottle of champagne, which is considered one of the main attributes of the holiday.
Bottle in a suit
To decorate champagne, it is not necessary to come up with complex decor. Thematic costumes made with your own hands look great.
For these charming costumes you will need:
- fabric in red, white and beige colors;
- scissors;
- soft, voluminous beard material;
- sewing machine;
- paper;
- pen;
- synthetic padding;
- small buttons or beads.
Prepare hand and beard templates on paper. Transfer them to fabric and carefully cut them out. Sew them together using a sewing machine. Fill the parts with padding polyester and sew the last edge of each of them.
We cut out the remaining details to create the costume.
We make Santa's head using the blanks, as well as voluminous material for the beard and buttons or beads for the eyes. We sew them to the red suit.
Repeat the same thing on the remaining costumes if you plan to make several of them.
We sew the side edges of the workpiece so that the costume fits over the bottle. We sew the sleeves to it and make a small cap from the remains of the fabric.
A small amount of champagne can be presented to colleagues and relatives as a gift.
DIY Removable Decoration
A beautiful decoration on champagne always looks appropriate. However, when creating it, do not forget that pouring the drink from the bottle should still be convenient. A great solution is to make a removable decor.
Let's prepare the following materials:
- a small piece of foam plastic or penoplex;
- knife;
- corrugated paper;
- glue gun;
- tinsel of any color;
- New Year's toys;
- candies;
- satin ribbon.
We try the tape on the neck of the bottle, choose the optimal length and cut off the excess.
We cut out a small size of foam plastic or penoplex. We cut it in half.
We glue a ribbon loop to it using a glue gun.
We glue two pieces of foam plastic or polystyrene together, as shown in the photo.
We try it on the bottle. We pay attention to the fact that the decoration should not be too low.
We cut off a piece of corrugated paper and carefully glue it to the foam.
Let's try it on a bottle of champagne.
We glue tinsel along the edges of the foam, then move on to the front and back sides.

How to decorate a bottle in an original and simple way
To decorate a bottle of champagne in an interesting way, you don't necessarily need any special materials. We suggest making a simple decor option that will definitely not leave anyone indifferent.
You will need the following:
- corrugated paper;
- scotch;
- ribbon;
- scissors;
- glue gun;
- decor: pine cones, toys, beads.
Cut a piece of corrugated paper of the required size. Glue it around the neck using tape.
Wrap the champagne with a large piece of corrugated paper, as shown in the photo.
To secure the paper we use tape.
We glue the pre-prepared decor to the corrugated paper. This can be done in any order.
Pineapple Decoration: Champagne with Candies
Agree, giving champagne and candies is too easy. We suggest using your imagination and a little patience to create a truly beautiful and original gift.
For this we will need:
- champagne;
- chocolates;
- corrugated paper;
- sackcloth;
- glue gun;
- scissors.
We glue the candies to the bottle in a checkerboard pattern, starting from the bottom.
Cut out pineapple leaves from corrugated paper, as shown in the photo. Glue them to the bottle overlapping each other so that it looks harmonious.
We tie the burlap on the bottle between the leaves and the candies. The original gift is ready!
Experiment, try using different materials to make your pineapples look different from each other.
Chic and Shine: Decor with Satin Ribbons
To create such a creative decor, we will prepare the following:
- bottle of champagne;
- satin ribbon;
- brocade ribbon;
- glue gun;
- thin knife;
- scissors;
- lace, beads and feathers optional.
We apply the tape to the bottle as shown in the photo, measure and cut.
On the inside of the tape we place glue dots in a checkerboard pattern.
We glue the segment to the bottle, slightly stretching the tape. This is necessary so that the edges are even. We measure the second segment, which will be located below, and cut it off.
We glue the tape and repeat these steps two more times.
We take a brocade ribbon, cut it and glue two layers one by one.
Glue the brocade ribbon along the bottom of the bottle. Then cut eight or nine strips of colored ribbon. It is best to start gluing them from the bottom so that the seam is at the back, exactly in the middle of the back of the bottle.
You don't need to glue all the strips, leaving space for one or two strips.
Using a thin knife, make space for the ribbon.
We apply glue to one edge of the tape and insert it into the gap from below.
We put small drops of glue along the entire length of the tape and press it tightly to the bottle with our hands.
We glue the last piece of brocade ribbon.
The corners that stick out a little can be cut off. After that, decorate the bottle as you wish.
Paper Bottle Decoration
Anyone can beautifully pack a bottle of wine or champagne. It doesn't take much time or materials.
To work you will need:
- wrapping paper;
- wine or champagne;
- ruler;
- pencil;
- glue gun;
- decorative tape.
We cut a piece of decorative paper so that one edge overlaps the other.
Using a ruler, divide the sheet into three parts and draw a line. Perpendicular to the first, draw several more lines, each two centimeters in size.
Cut the paper as shown in the photo.
We glue the side of the paper to the bottle up to the fold line of the fringe.
We bend the fringe and tie it with a cord or a beautiful ribbon.
Bottle decoupage
In the process of work we will need the following:
- champagne;
- napkins;
- brushes;
- acrylic paints;
- decoupage varnish;
- foam sponge;
- final coat varnish;
- alcohol;
- various decor on request.
We clean the bottle from the label and also remove the excise stamp. We degrease the surface with alcohol.
We paint the bottle with acrylic paint. You can use a brush or a sponge for this.
If the paint is not applied evenly, it is worth painting a second time and leaving it until it dries completely.
We cut out a drawing from a napkin.
We apply the cut-out fragment to the glass and immediately apply decoupage varnish. Very quickly and carefully smooth out the drawing with a brush.
If necessary, add various holiday decor. These can be pine cones, tinsel, candies, toys.
Golden sparkling bottle
Stylish, bright and festive champagne decor can be made in just a few minutes.
To do this, we will prepare the following materials:
- champagne;
- aerosol adhesive;
- glitter;
- disposable gloves;
- paper.
Cover the work surface with paper and put on gloves. Cover the bottle with spray glue. If you don't have any, use simple PVA.
Sprinkle glitter onto the surface with glue and leave until dry.
Festive, bright champagne decor is ready!
To make pouring champagne easier, you can partially cover the bottle.
