Car market

sionz1fgExperts have calculated that due to sanctions on automakers, Russia will lose 441,115 cars – a quarter of the market. Perhaps part of the vacated niche will be occupied by the Chinese (currently they account for 7% of the auto market).

But it is not worth counting on the fact that the Russian auto industry will only benefit from the departure of foreigners. The fact is that the parent company of AvtoVAZ is the French corporation Renault Group. And it also supplies components for Lada. So AvtoVAZ production lines are closed for an indefinite period.

It is still unknown what will happen with Hyundai deliveries. The Koreans have suspended operations at their plant in St. Petersburg, but have not announced their withdrawal from the Russian market.
