The Biggest Cars in the World in 2025

Spinning in the city wheel, you often forget that cars are not only passenger cars and general-purpose trucks. In mining, you can’t do without a huge quarry dump truck, and compared to the BelAZ-75710, even a solid Gelendvagen seems like a bug.

In this rating I will also tell you what is the largest car in the world by size and weight, I will show photos and videos of the largest machines created by mankind.

10. Pontiac Firebird

Pontiac Firebird

Length: 4.96 meters

The third generation of the Pontiac Firebird series is one of the largest sports cars ever built. The Firebird's wheelbase is only 2.6 m, but the front and rear overhangs increase the length of the car to almost 5 m.

The third generation existed until 1992, when a more interesting version was born - a limited edition Firehawk with a modified engine with a capacity of 375 hp. And the fourth generation has already become significantly shorter - long, massive sports cars went out of fashion.

9. Maybach 62/62S

Maybach 62/62S

Length: 6.1 m

The top 9 opens with the largest sedan in the world. This luxurious executive car from the Daimler concern was demonstrated to the public in the early 2000s. The luxurious body with a noble soft shine and solid interior design made of genuine leather and valuable wood is spacious and roomy - its length is 6.1 m.

Inside, there is a 12-cylinder engine with a power of 604 hp from Mercedes. It is not surprising that this car was very popular among those in power and heads of state: when North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited Vietnam in 2019, he drove a Maybach 62S.

8. Ford Super Duty LWB Crew Cab

Ford Super Duty LWB Crew Cab is the largest production vehicle

Length: 6.8 meters

Large vehicles have always been of interest to buyers, and it is not surprising that automakers have joined the competition: who is bigger. At the moment, the Ford Super Duty pickup truck with an extended wheelbase of almost 7 meters is the largest serial pickup in the world. It is not only large, but also roomy, and powerful: it develops a traction force of 1600 kg and is capable of transporting a load weighing almost 3 tons.

7. Komatsu D575A

Komatsu D575A

Length: 11.71 meters

The world's largest bulldozers are usually found in mining operations. These giants leave a deep impression on anyone who sees them for the first time - almost 150 tons of metal, topped with a 3-meter deep bucket.

One of these titans is the D575A bulldozer from Japanese Komatsu. It is powered by a four-stroke 12-cylinder turbocharged engine with a capacity of 1150 hp, and the tank holds about 2100 liters. It is so huge that the super bulldozer has to be transported from place to place in disassembled form, and this requires 6-8 trucks.

6. Dodge Power Wagon, replica

Dodge Power Wagon

Length: 14 meters

A giant copy of the mega-popular 1950 pickup truck is 8 times larger than the original. The happy owner of one of the largest cars in the world is the Arab Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan, who became famous for his original approach to cars. He got the nickname "Rainbow Sheikh" by buying seven fresh Mercedes 500 SEL cars, just off the assembly line, and painting them in rainbow colors.

He liked the classic American SUV so much that they designed a model that looks exactly like the original, except for the dimensions. The wheels had to be borrowed from oil workers, the windshield wiper from an ocean liner.

The giant weighs over 50 tons, and inside it is a real mobile villa. Four air-conditioned bedrooms, a large and spacious kitchen, bathrooms and a living room. The back door can be lowered to enjoy the views of nature. The most amazing thing is that this pickup actually drives. It has even been registered with the Saudi Arabian Road Authority.

5. Le Tourneau L-2350

Le Tourneau L-2350

Length: 20 meters

This massive beauty is one of the largest machines in the world of construction equipment and, as recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, the largest bulldozer in the world. Le Tourneau L-2350 is capable of lifting a weight equal to 30 cars in its bucket! But the first thing that catches your eye is the tires - they are 4 meters high and one and a half meters wide. One such giant can replace five conventional bulldozers in work.

All this mass is driven by a 16-cylinder engine with a capacity of 65 liters and a power of about 2300 hp. Such a powerful beast requires a good supply of fuel - and the fuel tank holds almost 4000 liters of diesel fuel.

4. BelAZ-75710

BelAZ-75710 is the largest dump truck in the world

Length: 20.6 meters

The largest quarry dump truck in the world and one of the tallest vehicles (from trucks) appeared relatively recently. It was built 10 years ago, in 2013, and on its eight wheels is capable of transporting about 450 tons. The absolute CIS record for transportation BelAZ-75710 set a year after its release, dragging 503.5 tons in its capacious body.

The heart of the powerful machine is two electric generators, each of which is connected to a 16-cylinder engine with a volume of 65 liters and a power of 2330 hp. The dump truck is not only roomy, but also durable - it can do its job at temperature drops from -50 to +50 °. So far, only three such vehicles have entered production, the fourth is being assembled and tested.

The T282B quarry dump truck from the German company Liebherr falls slightly short of the BelAZ in terms of load capacity. It is almost 16 m long, 8.3 m high, and 9.68 m wide. The giant is powered by a 20-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 3,750 hp. The load capacity is 363 tons.

3. American Dream

American Dream is the longest passenger car in the world

Length: 31 meters

The largest passenger car in length – according to the Guinness Book of Records, the length of this limousine is about 31 meters. It has 26 wheels, and inside, passengers can enjoy a large water bed-pool with a diving board, as well as a jacuzzi, a bathtub, and a mini golf course. This monster, which looks more like a car centipede, is also equipped with a helipad!

The "American Dream" was created in 1986 in California by the famous tuning master, Jay Ohrberg. At that time, its dimensions were more modest - only a little over 18 meters. The car was equipped with a pair of eight-cylinder engines in the front and back. With such dimensions, you can't drive much, and therefore the car was more of a presentation car - it was filmed in films, rented and used for photo shoots. Over time, interest in the "Dream" faded, and the car slowly began to deteriorate.

However, this story has a happy ending – a group of enthusiasts bought the “American Dream” on eBay, restored it and put it on display in a car museum.

2. NASA's Crawler Transporter

NASA's Crawler Transporter, the World's Largest Machine

Length: 40 meters

The largest and most space-like representative of the top 10 giant machines. This massive tracked transporter weighs 2,400 tons and is used to transport NASA rocket ships. In fact, there are two such giants, they were built in 1965 and cost taxpayers $14 million each.

The titans of the space industry slowly but surely walk on eight massive tracks, each of which is driven by 16 engines. To get one of the largest self-propelled machines in the world moving, it takes a coordinated team of 30 people, and NASA's transporters have two control cabins. The machine does not develop a very high speed - only 3.5 km / h. This is even slower than a person can walk.

1. Bagger 288

Bagger 288 is the biggest car in the world

Length: 235 meters
Height: 95 meters
Weight: 13500 tons

After the untimely death of the Big Muskie, the world's largest walking excavator, the Bagger 288 took over the title of the heaviest machine in the world. The excavator weighs 13,500 tons, but what's even more astonishing is the amount of money it cost to build: $100 million. The Bagger 288 is a bucket wheel excavator, and it's designed for clearing debris and mining coal. It can move 240,000 tons of coal per day.

The Bagger 288 is slightly lighter than the Bagger 293 (14,200 tons), but since the latter receives energy from outside, it is not a self-propelled machine in the strict sense of the word. However, the German excavator can be considered the tallest machine – to see its roof, you will have to climb to a height of almost 95 meters!
