Leonid's gigantism is not congenital, but acquired - he began to grow after a brain operation at the age of twelve, which resulted in the development of a pituitary tumor. Stadnik did not want any hype around his name, so for a long time he refused the services of representatives of the Guinness Book of Records. According to some sources, his height was 253 cm. In 2014, Stadnik died of a hemorrhagic stroke.

John suffered from a curvature of the spine, so his height was measured at 244 cm in 1959, but if the distortion is taken into account, he could have been 264 cm. John continued to grow until his death; it is said that in one year he grew as much as 17.78 cm. He died in 1969.
