10 Best Duvets 2024-2025

Winter is coming, and you can no longer hide from the night cold under a thin blanket. However, not all blankets, on the label of which the inscription "down" proudly flaunts, will really warm you. And dust mites can live in them.

To ensure that you sleep peacefully and comfortably at night, Roskachestvo experts have compiled a selection of down duvets for 2021. Products from 18 brands were tested, and they were examined for safety, compliance with labeling, and overall quality (ability to absorb moisture, hypoallergenicity, how quickly the fabric becomes covered in pellets, etc.).

Here are the top 10 highest quality and safest down duvets of 2021 according to Roskachestvo. And if you decide that they are not really worthy of the title of “best”, then know that the other samples have even lower ratings.

10. Cassette down blanket "Samson"

Price — 5495.06 rub.

This blanket is dust mite free, safe, non-shedding, non-odorous, and quite durable.

As for the down permeability of the cover fabric, it corresponds to the advanced standard of Roskachestvo (no more than 15 pcs.). This means that the filler will not come out of the blanket much. The composition of the top fabric is the same as indicated in the marking.

The blanket has a good level of thermal resistance - 0.71 m2 °C/W.

Now about the disadvantages.

  • Firstly, the actual filler ratio does not correspond to that indicated in the label (85% duck down and 15% small duck feathers on paper and 65.45% down and 3.93% feathers in reality). The rest is other filler – cut feathers or their fragments.
  • Secondly, when wet processed, the blanket may shrink in length.
  • Thirdly, the blanket will not wick water away from the body well, since its hygroscopicity is lower than the norm established by the advanced Roskachestvo standard.
  • Fourthly, according to the study, the filler is poorly cleaned.
  • Fifthly, the fabric easily pills.

9. Cassette blanket "Camellia" "Easy dreams"

Costs 7165 rub.

A soft and warm blanket (thermal resistance level 0.98 m2 °C/W). It has no strong odor, is safe, durable and does not fade. The hygroscopicity of this model satisfied the Roskachestvo experts, unlike the 10th number in the rating.

The filling of "Legkie Sny" will not come out much, since the down-proofness of the cover fabric corresponds to the advanced Roskachestvo standard.

However, judging by the turbidity index, the blanket filler is poorly cleaned. In addition, the manufacturer indicated in the marking that the filler contains gray goose down of the first category, but the amount of down there is only 36.6%, the rest is feathers (3.33%), cut feathers and their fragments (60.07%). At the same time, only 60% are goose down, and the remaining 40% are duck down.

The fabric of the cover is prone to pilling, and fragments of dust mites have been found in the filler, which can cause allergies.

8. Belpol Blanket "Example"

You can buy it for 7120 rubles.

In terms of its pros and cons, this model is similar to the ninth line of the down blanket rating. It is durable, non-toxic and has excellent hygroscopicity, which is good for people who sweat a lot.

"Primera" does not emit a strong unpleasant odor, as happens with low-quality down blankets treated with chemicals, and the length and width correspond to those stated on the label.

However, the blanket is not very warm (0.56 m2 °C/W), it contains dust mite fragments, and the content of gray goose down is only 5.2%. The rest is duck and goose feathers (8.63%), and other filling - cut feathers and their fragments. Moreover, there is more duck filling than goose (60% and 40% respectively).

The filling is poorly cleaned and the fabric of the cover easily forms pellets.

7. Blanket 172*205 all-season “FLEECE FACTORY” “Alfea”

Cost – 10,880 rub.

This isn't the cheapest duvet out there, so what does it offer for the money?

  • Durable and pilling-resistant fabric.
  • No unpleasant odor.
  • Resistance to shedding.
  • The filler will not come out much.
  • The size corresponds to the one stated in the marking.
  • Average heat (thermal resistance level - 0.64 m2 °C/W).

Despite all its advantages, Alfea also has its disadvantages. Among them:

  • Presence of dust mite fragments.
  • Inconsistency with the marking - instead of goose down, the filler on 100% consists of duck down. In addition, there is only 58.65% down, the rest is feathers and other filler.
  • Low hygroscopicity – the upper fabric does not absorb moisture well.
  • Poor cleaning of the filler.

6. Natures Silver Dream Blanket

Can be purchased for 15,198 rubles.

This blanket does not contain dust mite fragments, which means you will not be allergic to them. It does not smell of chemicals, it is durable, and the top is made of non-fading fabric. In addition, if pellets form on this blanket, it will not be for a long time.

Judging by the level of thermal resistance (0.91 m2 °C/W), the blanket is warm enough, you will not freeze under it in a cold room.

The size of the blanket corresponds to what is written on the label. However, the label does not say that the amount of goose down is only 68.42%, and small feathers - 4.24%. The rest is various fillers, such as cut feathers and fragments.

The Silver Dream has a bad down permeability of the cover fabric (more than 50 pcs.). It is much higher than the standard set by Roskachestvo (no more than 15 pcs.), which means that the filler will come out a lot.

5. Kariguz Blanket "Golden Bubble"

Was purchased for 11,740 rubles.

This blanket has good filling cleaning. The composition of the top corresponds to the declared in the marking, the cotton fabric is durable, does not fade, but is prone to pellet formation.

The blanket perfectly absorbs and wicks moisture away from the body, it will be warm underneath (thermal resistance level 0.98 m2 °C/W) and the filler will not “tear” out too much.

But, like other participants in the rating, "Golden Bubble" has problems with the composition of the filler. Namely, it does not correspond to what the manufacturer claims. The real filler is 32.03% down, 18.25% feather and 49.71% other filler. Moreover, duck feather and down predominate. But according to the manufacturer, the blanket is filled with extra-class down, not a word about feather and other filler. And there are fragments of dust mites in the filler.

4. "Orion" blanket, Togas

Price – 11,890 rub.

In terms of hygroscopicity, pH of the outer fabric and durability, this blanket is one of the best on the market. The cotton outer fabric is resistant to pilling, does not smell and does not fade.

The blanket's thermal resistance level is 0.54 m2 °C/W; there are warmer models in the rating.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer "made a mistake" with the filler composition. Instead of the declared 90% goose down and 10% small feathers, the filler consists of 20.34% down and 3.24% feathers. The rest is other filler. In addition, not all the down and feathers are goose, as indicated in the marking, 20% are duck.

Finally, the filler is poorly cleaned, as evidenced by its turbidity index, and contains dust mite fragments.

3. Lucky Dreams "Isabel", warm blanket

Purchased for RUB 9,232.

Although this entry in our selection of the best down duvets is cheaper than the duvet number four, it does not have some of the competitor’s shortcomings. The filling is well-cleaned, does not contain dust mites and is quite warm – 0.77 m2 °C/W.

The upper fabric is made of cotton and teak, it is durable, hygroscopic, does not fade and will not scare you with a strong smell.

However, "Isabel" has one significant drawback - unreliable information about the filler. Instead of 100% goose down of the extra category, the blanket contains 73.27% down, 2% feathers and 24.72% other filler. At the same time, 60% of down is duck.

2. Ecotex blanket "Felice"

Costs 6321 rub.

The hygroscopicity of this inexpensive down blanket can be envied by more expensive models. Its thermal resistance level is 0.7 m2 °C/W, which is not bad, although not the best indicator in the rating.

The upper fabric (100% cotton) is quite durable, does not fade and its down permeability complies with the Roskachestvo standard. This means that the filler will not “crawl out of all the cracks”.

However, the amount of fluff in the Felice filler is only 25.52%, even less feathers - 4.51%, and there is an excess of other filler - 69.98%. The ratio of duck and goose filler is 50 to 50. Fragments of dust mites were found in it, which can cause an allergic reaction. And the filler itself is poorly cleaned.

1. All-season blanket German Grass – Austrian quality, Gray family down

Price tag – 21,950 rub.

The most expensive and at the same time the highest quality down blanket in the Roskachestvo rating. No dust mites were found in it, and the high hygroscopicity and pH of the upper fabric, corresponding to the advanced Roskachestvo standard, make this model comfortable. In addition, it is warm - the level of thermal resistance was 0.78 m2 ° C / W.

The filler indicated is 100% down. However, the down content, although high - 72.76%, is still not 100%. The rest is feather and other filler. Half of the filler consists of goose down and feather, half - duck.

Roskachestvo experts also noted that the fabric of the cover is prone to pilling, and its down permeability (19 pcs.) is higher than that established by the advanced standard of the department (up to 15 pcs.). This means that the filler will come out of the blanket.
