YouTube is an experimental space for many hotheads who, in pursuit of hype, popularity or for their own ambitions, are ready to risk their lives for the amusement of the public.
We present you the top 10 dangerous YouTube channels, whose owners and guests can get hurt while filming their videos.
It must be said that YouTube reacts quickly to such videos. For example, in 2019, it banned cruel pranks and challenges that are dangerous to people's lives and health.
Do not repeat what you see below on your channel, at home, or anywhere!
10. First We Feast
Let's start with a warm-up - a very popular foreign YouTube channel, where its owner Sean Evans interviews celebrities while they try to eat chicken wings with hot sauce.
As the interview goes on, the sauce gets more and more spicy. This is probably the most harmless and popular channel on this list. Spicy food is appreciated by many people, and the guests of the channel are given something to wash down with their meal.
However, the effects of eating some types of chili peppers can be quite unpleasant. Capsaicin, an alkaloid found in various types of peppers that gives them their spiciness, can cause stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. And that's only if you haven't had any stomach problems before, like ulcers or gastritis.
9. Oleg "Cricket" Sherstyachenko
I don't know about you, dear readers and viewers, but I already have a fear of heights from the first frames of this video. In it, the Ural extreme sportsman fearlessly walks and hangs on his hands at a height of 70 meters.
Moreover, according to the creators of the video, all the action takes place without any insurance. And without preliminary rehearsals, since all these dangerous stunts were not agreed upon with the administration of the hotel in Hong Kong, where the filming took place.
8. Mustang Wanted
As one subscriber put it, "this guy's 'balls' are made of diamond." And in the comments, people are regularly surprised that the brave roofer is still alive. After all, only a very brave person with a completely atrophied instinct for self-preservation can do such tricks at a dizzying height.
7. StreetBeefs
Cats and fights – that’s what YouTube was famous for in its early youth. The youth has passed, but fights are still popular (and cats, of course, too).
And if you want to watch from a safe distance how two amateur fighters smash each other's faces and other body parts until they bleed, then check out the foreign YouTube channel StreetBeefs and enjoy.
There have been no fatalities on the canal so far, but 15 people were injured last year.
6. Skippy62able
If there's anyone whose mother didn't tell the author of this channel when he was a child, it's the one who, apparently, didn't tell him: "Don't put all that nasty stuff in your nose!" Or she did, but he didn't listen. And now he inhales alcohol, soda, and other drinks.
And when I say "inhales," I mean he literally does it. Also, Kevin Thomas Strayle, who owns the skippy62able channel, is a competitive food eater. However, YouTube does not welcome his hobbies, and even flagged Kevin's videos as unattractive to advertisers.
5. Devinsupertramp
But the host of this extreme YouTube channel is sensible enough not to get into trouble himself. He acts as a director of the videos, and he himself chooses the participants who will appear in his super-popular video blog.
On Devinsupertramp you can find videos of people doing crazy things: standing on the wing of a crop duster doing a loop-the-loop, swimming along the ocean floor without scuba gear, jumping off cliffs and walking along a canal stretched over an abyss with minimal safety equipment, etc. If you want to tickle your nerves, watch it.
4. BlueWorldTV
Are you ready to hand feed a shark, search for the teeth of the Megalodon - the largest shark in history, explore underwater caves and perform many more heroic and reckless deeds while under the water?
If not, watch how Jonathan Bird, an experienced diver, does it, telling and showing us what the sea depths can surprise us with.
3. Göran Winblad
Many people run in the morning, and physically fit athletes are even able to run a long marathon of several dozen kilometers.
But there are people who will only smile indulgently at the word "marathon", because they have entered the ultramarathon distance. And are capable of running from 50 to 160 kilometers.
As the saying goes, "don't try this at home," since the consequences of such a long run include nausea, vomiting, and even damage to internal organs. Each such run requires long-term physical and psychological preparation.
2. Brave Wilderness
Insect bites can cause itching, skin irritation, and severe allergic reactions. Would you willingly subject yourself to such an ordeal for the joy of others? But the host of the Brave Wilderness channel has, and more than once.
Naturalist Nathaniel "Coyote" Peterson heroically endures the bites of any insect he can find. Moreover, it is not limited to insects: Peterson has been bitten by animals, reptiles, and spiders, and he has eaten fruits that are disgusting in appearance and taste.
He does this not only for likes, but also for the popularization of science. He tells how to behave with dangerous creatures, and vice versa, what you definitely shouldn’t do when meeting them.
1. Private Exotarium
In September 2017, it became known about the death of Arslan Valeev, a Russian biologist, zoologist and owner of the YouTube channels “BobCat TV”, dedicated to wild cats, and “Private Exotarium”, dedicated to reptiles.
During the stream, Valeev was bitten by a black mamba, which he planned to transfer from the terrarium to a special container used for video broadcasts. The viewers of the stream called the medics, but the bite of one of the most poisonous snakes in the world turned out to be fatal for the blogger.
The question of whether this was an accident due to a prolonged depression (Arslan separated from his wife) or a deliberate suicide remains open.
Since then, the channel has not been updated, but all the uploaded videos have been preserved.
