There is not much time left until the New Year 2025, which means it's time to think about the festive decoration of your home. To transform it for the upcoming celebration, use all sorts of decorations made with your own hands. Contrary to popular belief, there are many original and not too difficult to implement options.
Decorations for New Year 2025: General Recommendations
When specialized stores offer a variety of decor, not everyone will dare to do it themselves. However, this process has many advantages that are not so obvious at first glance. At the very least, it unites all family members in an exciting activity. And emotions, good time and pleasant memories are guaranteed.
Before purchasing all the necessary materials for New Year's crafts, we recommend looking at what you already have in your home. The fact is that many things can be reused. This is a great opportunity to transform something that has not been used for a long time. We also recommend thinking about the location of the decor before making it. Since the color scheme, as well as the use of materials and even the appearance of the decoration depend on this.
1. DIY Christmas Wreath
The Christmas wreath decoration has long been a tradition. But it is not necessary to buy it in a store. After all, there are many ideas and master classes with interesting, original design options for every taste.
For work we will need:
- cardboard;
- linen fabric;
- pencil;
- masking tape;
- paper;
- ruler;
- compass;
- scissors;
- stationery knife;
- jute rope;
- glue gun;
- decorative details.
If you don't have cardboard of the right size, you can simply join two pieces together using masking tape. 
The next step is to create the base. To do this, use a compass and pencil to draw two circles measuring 20 cm and 32 cm. 
Using scissors or a utility knife, cut out the blank from cardboard. 
We crumple several sheets of paper, but not too tightly. It will be used as a base for the wreath. 
Gradually, pressing the lumps of paper against each other, wrap the wreath with masking tape. If necessary, you can do this in several layers. After that, give the workpiece the correct, even shape. 
We cut the linen fabric into strips no more than 8 cm wide. In this case, the length was approximately 1.5 m, and for the wreath we needed 3.5 pieces. 
We wind the strips on the workpiece with a small overlap. It is very important to glue each turn with a glue gun. Also note that the end of the strip should not be on top of the wreath. Because this will be noticeable and will only spoil the product. 
We wrap the base quite tightly with jute rope. For better fixation, it is worth gluing it at the beginning and at the end. 
Next, we proceed to decorate the Christmas wreath. In the process, you can use anything you like. But in this case, you will need small spruce branches, balls, sticks, ribbons, and ready-made themed wooden figures. 
We apply the details in different variations until the result is visually satisfactory. Then we fix the decor with a glue gun. The stylish decoration for the home for the New Year 2025 is ready! 
2. Wreath of fir cones for the New Year 2025
The next version of the wreath design is more in line with fashion trends. This is because it uses natural material, namely pine cones.
Let's prepare the following:
- spruce cones;
- thick cardboard;
- beads of different diameters;
- glue gun;
- twine;
- PVA glue;
- brush;
- needle;
- scissors;
- metal ring;
- white monofilament.
On a sheet of cardboard, draw two circles to create a blank. If the cardboard is not too thick, we recommend cutting out two parts at once. 
Using a brush and glue, we glue them together. It is best to place the blanks under a press for at least half an hour. 
We tie the end of the string to the cardboard blank and begin to wind it gradually. It is very important that there are no gaps between the threads through which the cardboard is too visible. To achieve this effect, it is better to slightly overlap the threads at the inner ring. 
We attach the cones to the outer circle of the base using a glue gun. 
We repeat the same with the middle and inner circle.
When the wreath is ready, decorate it with beads of different diameters. It is best to do this in a slightly chaotic order, without adhering to symmetry. 
On the back of the wreath we attach a metal ring using monofilament. 
This decoration looks great as a door or window decoration. 
3. Thematic composition for the interior
Fans of aromatic compositions should definitely try this master class.
In the process you will need:
- branches;
- twine;
- pruning shears;
- glue gun;
- decor (dried orange slices, lotus pods, etc.).
We connect several sticks together using glue and twine. Note that on one side they should be the same size, and on the other side – different heights. Gradually add new sticks. 
When the central part is ready, we decorate it from the outside.
The next stage is decoration. To do this, we attach orange slices and lotus boxes. If desired, add other details to your taste. 
4. New Year 2025 Decoration: Origami Star
Well, finally, if you don’t like master classes with a lot of materials, we suggest making a star using the origami technique.
Fold the square of paper diagonally to form a triangle. 
We turn the workpiece by 90° and bend the upper sides towards the center.
