Sandwiches for the New Year 2025: simple and delicious recipes with photos

New Year always wants magic and something unusual. Easy to prepare, but interesting and exotic in taste, sandwiches and canapes will complement the New Year's table, decorate it with their exquisite design and bring an incomparable note to the menu of the festive feast.

Sandwich with duck riette and sun-dried tomatoes

Riette is a type of pate. The difference is in the consistency - riette is coarser and more fibrous. It is prepared from any meat or fish. Sandwiches with riette are perfect for lovers of pates.

Ingredients (for 4 persons):

  • 12 slices of bread (crustless);
  • 1 can of duck rieta (can be replaced with finely chopped pieces of baked duck or canned duck meat);
  • 1/2 can of dried, canned tomatoes;
  • some green salad leaves.

How to cook:

Toast the bread slices on the grill or in a toaster. Wash the lettuce leaves, dry them and cut them into small pieces.

Drain the liquid from the jar of dried tomatoes. Cut the required number of tomatoes into pieces.

If you don’t have canned sun-dried tomatoes, replace them with dried tomatoes, which you soak in warm water for about 2 hours before using.

Spread duck rillettes on slices of toasted bread. Top each slice with a layer of chopped lettuce leaves, then sun-dried tomatoes. Top with slices of bread.

Cut each sandwich into four pieces diagonally to create small triangles. Insert skewers into each to secure.

For vegetarians, duck rillettes are replaced with avocado pesto sauce. Mix the pulp of a ripe avocado with 50 g of pine nuts, 60 ml of olive oil, 60 ml of lemon juice, 2 cloves of garlic and a small bunch of basil in a blender.

How to cook:

Spread 3 slices of bread with mayonnaise. Put a lettuce leaf and a slice of cheese on each. Spread the tuna mixture on top of the cheese. Put another slice of bread on top and repeat the layering, covering the top with a third slice of bread.

Cut sandwiches in half diagonally and refrigerate until ready to eat.

Sandwich B.L.T. (Bacon, lettuce, tomato)

Despite the fact that the BLT sandwich has been known for its three ingredients since the mid-19th century, it remains relevant to this day.

Ingredients (for 4 persons):

  • 12 thin slices Swiss cheese (Gruyere is the default);
  • 8 large slices of bread (preferably crustless);
  • 4 pieces of smoked lard or bacon;
  • 2 fresh tomatoes;
  • 2 tablespoons mustard;
  • 8 cherry tomatoes;
  • lettuce leaves.

How to cook:

Wash the tomatoes, cut each into 4 crosswise pieces. Remove excess juice and seeds.

Fry the bacon in a non-stick frying pan without oil, then clean it with absorbent paper. Place the fried bacon first on a napkin so that the excess fat is absorbed by the paper, and let it cool.

Fry the bread slices on both sides in a frying pan. Spread with mustard.

Place lettuce, tomatoes (2 pieces each), Swiss cheese, bacon, another layer of cheese slices on each slice. Finish the “pyramid” with a lettuce leaf and cover with bread.

Press the sandwich on top and cut off the protruding parts of the products evenly along the edges. Make 2 triangles or squares from each sandwich.

Place skewers in each half and top with cherry tomatoes.

Avocado and Tomato Sandwich

It will quickly satisfy your hunger, and thanks to the avocado, it will also delight you with a rich, creamy taste.

Ingredients (4 persons):

  • 8 slices of bread (crustless);
  • 16 tomato slices;
  • 8 lettuce leaves;
  • avocado.

How to cook:

Cut the avocado into thin slices, after peeling and removing the seed.

Garnish the bread slices with lettuce, tomatoes and avocado.

For convenience, cut the bread slices into 4 pieces and turn the sandwich into canapes.

Add Espelette pepper to your avocado for a richer flavor.

Smoked Salmon Sandwich

This easy-to-make sandwich with an unusual taste can be made crispier by toasting the bread in a frying pan or toaster.

Ingredients (4 persons):

  • 4 slices of bread;
  • 4 slices smoked salmon;
  • 3 small sprigs of arugula;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 400 g of cottage cheese (by default ricotta);
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

How to cook:

Wash the arugula, dry it and chop it.

Grate the lemon zest and mix it with the cream cheese and olive oil. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.

Spread 4 slices of bread (toast first if desired) with the resulting curd mass with lemon zest. Place one piece of smoked salmon on each slice of bread, sprinkle with chopped arugula and cover with another slice of bread.

Cut the slices diagonally into triangles.

Mini Sandwiches for New Year's Table with Shrimp

Shrimp meat will not only add tenderness to cream cheese, but will also become a decoration for the holiday table.

Ingredients:

  • 10 slices of white bread;
  • 10 pieces of boiled or fried shrimp;
  • 60 g cream cheese;
  • 90 g fresh cucumber;
  • green.

How to cook:

Wash the cucumber, cut into thin strips lengthwise. Adjust the length to the size of the bread.

Spread cream cheese, spread cucumber on top, pressing lightly into the bread. Place a shrimp beautifully on each slice of bread, garnishing with a small sprig of fresh herbs.

Tuna and Tomato Sandwiches

How to cook:

Mix cheese, crushed garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper until smooth.

Drain the can of tuna and flake the tuna pieces lightly with a fork.

Wash the tomatoes and cut them crosswise into slices.

Spread the garlic-cheese mixture on the bread, place the chopped tuna pieces on top and cover with tomato slices. Garnish the dish with fresh basil and dried herbs.

New Year's appetizer with feta cheese and cranberries

Appetizing and unusual sandwiches with cheese and tart berries will be the highlight of your holiday table.

Ingredients:

  • 210 g Feta cheese;
  • 390 g fresh cranberries;
  • 100 ml of water;
  • 80 g sugar;
  • 4 g curry powder;
  • 4 allspice peas;
  • 3 pcs. bay leaf;
  • white baguette-shaped bread;
  • salt and pepper to taste;
  • fresh basil for garnish.

How to cook:

Wash the cranberries, put them in a saucepan, add sugar and pour in water. Put on the fire and bring to a boil. Boil the cranberries on low heat for no more than 2 minutes. Cool completely, put the berries in a colander.

First cut the baguette into slices, then divide each slice into convenient sizes for consumption.

Use skewers to secure cheese and cranberries to bread.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Don't like the tartness of fresh berries? Replace with dried cranberries.

Mini herring sandwiches

There is no need to waste time preparing a classic herring salad when you can serve mini sandwiches with herring fillet and lettuce.

Sandwich with dry-cured ham, dried tomatoes and camembert cheese

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of dry-cured ham;
  • 160 g Camembert cheese;
  • lettuce leaves;

  • a baguette-type bread product;

How to cook:

Cut the buns lengthwise and spread the bottom half with a thin layer of butter.

Cut the Camembert into pieces and place on half of the bun.

Layer ham, cheese and sun-dried tomatoes in sequence.

Finish the sandwich with a lettuce leaf. Close the top with the other half of the bun.

For a slightly different flavor, substitute ham or uncooked ham for the dry-cured ham.

  • avocado;
  • 100 g cream cheese;
  • 20 ml soy sauce;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 1 large Argentine shrimp per sandwich;
  • green onions;
  • baguette or bread.

How to cook:

Cut crab sticks or crab meat into small cubes. Peel the avocado, remove the seed. Cut the avocado flesh into small pieces.

Mix cream cheese, soy sauce and a clove of garlic passed through a press in a bowl. Add crab sticks and avocado to the resulting mass. Put it in the refrigerator while you prepare the bread base.

Wash the shrimp and fry them. Fry the pieces of bread in a frying pan without oil or in a toaster.

Place the resulting mixture of crab meat, avocado and cheese on the cooled bread.

Garnish with cooled fried shrimp.

Focaccia with artichokes and dried tomatoes

This dish will appeal to connoisseurs of subtle but bright flavors. The sweetness of tomatoes and artichokes sets off the characteristic bitterness of arugula.

Ingredients (6 persons):

  • 6 slices focaccia bread;
  • 100 g dried tomatoes in oil;
  • 1 jar (280 g) marinated artichokes;
  • 100 g Parmesan cheese;
  • 60 g olive paste (black tapenade);
  • 1 bunch arugula (can be replaced with watercress and mustard greens).

How to cook:

Wash and dry the arugula.

Drain the liquid from the jar of dried tomatoes. Cut the required amount into pieces. Remove the veins from the tomatoes.

Drain the liquid from the jar of artichokes or place the required amount on absorbent paper. Cut the artichokes into pieces.

Cut the Parmesan into small thin slices.

Open the flatbread lengthwise down the center. Spread a layer of tapenade on one side of the bread, spread the sun-dried tomatoes, parmesan, and artichokes. Sprinkle a pinch of chopped lettuce on top. Close the top with the other half of the flatbread, placing a weight on top for pressing.

Chicken, Raisin, Celery and Yogurt Sandwiches

Poultry meat goes well with fruits and berries. Add juicy and healthy celery root, neutral yogurt and get an amazingly tasty and healthy filling for a sandwich.

Ingredients:

  • 8 tbsp celery root;
  • 1 pc. green apple;
  • 2 pcs. green onions (shallots);
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts;
  • 4 handfuls of raisins;
  • 4 handfuls of cranberries;
  • 12 tablespoons yogurt;
  • baguette bread;
  • salt, pepper.

How to cook:

Cut the chicken breasts into very small pieces. Use a blender, but do not bring it to the consistency of pate.

Wash and dry the raisins. Wash the apples, core them and cut into small pieces.

Peel and chop the green onions. Peel the celery root and finely grate it.

In a bowl, combine neutral yogurt, chicken, onion, grated celery, raisins, chopped apple, cranberries, salt and pepper.

Cut the bread in half lengthwise. Take out some of the bread pulp, fill the resulting cavity with the resulting yogurt mixture. Cover the sandwich with the other half of the baguette or leave it open and decorate with a few berries.

Replace the raisins with fresh green seedless grapes, then you can reduce the sweetness of the resulting yogurt mass.
