25 carols for Christmas 2025

Christmas — one of the most important Orthodox holidays of the church calendar. On the night of January 6-7, they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who came to Earth to save all mankind. Traditionally, the holiday is accompanied by many rituals and rules.

Carols are one of the important attributes of this holiday. Songs of a biblical nature that praise the birth of the Savior and motivate people not to forget His feat. Over time, singing carols became not only a tribute to tradition, but also entertainment for children. For adults, it is a reminder of the holiday from the lips of children, and for children, it is an opportunity to receive treats.

With the rise of the first star in the sky, the family sits down at the table, set with 12 dishes. And after this evening, adults and children dress up in Christmas-themed costumes and go to visit relatives to sing carols. It is considered a bad omen not to let carolers into the house. The hosts treat those who sang with various treats: cookies, candies and ringing coins.

Carol #1:

Kolyada, Kolyada,
On the eve of Christmas!
Good auntie,
The pie is delicious
Don't cut, don't break,
Serve it quickly,
Two, three,
We've been standing here for a long time,
We won't survive!
The stove is heating up,
I want some pie!

Carol #2:

That's how it is in this world
For many years now
On such a wonderful, good evening
Angels are flying to us from heaven.
They bring goodness, hope,
Blessing to every home.
Happy New Year to everyone
And have a blessed Christmas!

Carol #3:

Kolyada was born
On the eve of Christmas!
Behind the mountain behind the steep,
Beyond the fast river,

There are dense forests,
There are fires burning in those forests!
The lights are burning blazing,
People are standing around the lights,

People stand and sing carols:
'Oh, caroling, caroling,
You happen to be, Kolyada,
On Christmas Eve!'

Carol #4:

Christmas, the Angel has arrived,
He flew across the sky, singing a song to the people:
“You people, rejoice, all of you celebrate today,
Today is the Nativity of Christ!”

The shepherds were the first to come to the cave
And they found the baby God and His Mother,
They stood, prayed, and bowed to Christ –
Today is the Nativity of Christ!

We have all sinned, O Savior, before You,
We are all sinners, but You alone are Holy.
Forgive our sins, grant us forgiveness –
Today is the Nativity of Christ!

Carol #5:

Carols, carols, carols -
Pancakes are good with honey!
But without honey, he’s not the same,
Give me some pies, auntie!

Carol #6:

Good auntie,
Give me some sweet Easter cake!
Kolyada-molyada,
On the eve of Christmas!

Give it to me, don't break it,
Serve everything whole.
If you drop a crumb,
You can’t even pray to God.

If you don't give me some flatbread,
Let's break the windows.
If you don't serve me some pie,
Let's take the cow by the horns!

Carol #7:

Merry Christmas,
We came here with good intentions,
Give us a little bit,
A pie for the road,
For happiness to come to you,
May you have luck in everything!

Carol #8:

Merry Christmas to you, people,
May there be peace and harmony among you!
So that you do not know grief,
May you be in abundance!

May your home be cheerful,
Beauty blossomed all around,
So that you give goodness,
We thanked you in the same way.

Carol #9:

And God grant that,
Who's in this house!
The rye is thick for him,
Dinner rye!
He gets an octopus from an ear of corn,
From the grain he gets a loaf,
Half grain - pie.
May the Lord grant you
And life and being,
And wealth!

Carol #10:

Happy great holiday,
Affectionate owner,
Rejoice, rejoice, earth,
The Son of God was born

We are coming to you, master,
With good news.
Rejoice, rejoice, earth,
The Son of God is born!

With good news
From the holy city.
Rejoice, rejoice, earth,
The Son of God is born!

Carol #11:

You, master, don’t keep us in suspense,
Give it to me quickly!

And what about the current frost?
Doesn't let you stand for long,
Orders to serve soon:
Pies from the oven,
Or a nickel of money,
Or a pot of cabbage soup!

God bless you
A yard full of bellies,
And into the stable of horses,
Into the barn of calves,
To the boys' hut,
And take care of the kittens!

Carol #12:

We'll call you with bells
With best wishes and regards.
We came to carol,
Merry Christmas to you!

May you live well,
Everything you want is given to you,
So that thoughts inspire,
And dreams always come true!

Carol #13:

I sing a carol for you,
I celebrate the holiday of all of you!

Your house is warm, warm...
Then grab your broom!
Joy has already come to your house,
I brought a good sound!

Be healthy,
Earn new pennies.
I for those that I drank,
Give me a penny for the lard!

Carol #14:

In the blue sky
Star has become,
All over Ukraine
I filed a notice.

What's in Bethlehem,
In the secret of the low one,
The child was born -
Jesus is little.

Jesus was born,
Folds his arms,
All the tortured
Happy greetings.

Stop it too
Already sum up,
Ukrainian boys,
Nice girls.

Girls and boys,
Let us all bow down,
In good hope
Let us pray to God!

Carol #15:

I am a little shepherd,
Burnt into a casing,
I play the violin,
I greet you all.
And you people, feel it,
Prepare carols -
Apple, peas
For children's nursery rhymes.

Carol #16:

carol-carol,
Months are coming in a row.
Dressed in leather jackets,
Like a shepherdess in a den.

Kolyada-kolyadnitsa,
It's a joy for children,
Generous for a hotel
At Llaniya Torbintsi!

Carol #17:

Oh, God forbid we wait for Christmas,
Let's go to caroling before grandpa!
And our grandfather has plenty of bread:
Two stitches of life, and the third of wheat
On the stove,
And a quarter of buckwheat for buckwheat,
And the fifth day is the same carol.
Good evening!

Carol #18:

Carols, carols, carols,
Good with honey scorching,
But it’s not the same without honey,
Give me some pie, please.
Yak won't give me a pie,
I'll take the bull by the horns,
I'll take you to the market,
I’ll buy my own pie.

Carol #19:

Oh, rejoice at the earth! Kolyada is coming!

Holy evening, good evening!
Kolyada is coming, give everyone good luck.
Give everyone good luck, give us your word,
It seems to us that the whole world is sitting.
To the earth, to the earth, open the doors.
Open the doors, for your prince is here!

Carol #20:

Kolyad, Kolyad, Kolyad,
It's a shame to bypass you.
Let me come to your doorstep
Come joy to the New River.

May they bloom in kindness,
May we live happily,
I want this river to be young
You'll be spoiled for old!

Friends are rich in winter;
On a daily basis and on a holy day
Your tables were bent.
May everyone be healthy!

Carol #21:

Kolyada, Kolyada,
Give me some pie, man!
Don't give me the pie,
I'll take the ox by the horns,
And I’ll take you to the sea,
Then I will break the right rig.
I will blow a trumpet at the river,
I will be timid with an ox,
I'll wag my tail
Let's yell at the buckwheat.
Good evening!

Carol #22:

Oh, I'll play the pipe
I'm falling asleep to carols!
For the master and mistress,
There should be a lot of welding in the house,
And the prosperity is small,
Share kvitla, otherwise the garden!

The plan has gone wrong,
Like the river of life flowed,
The cornfields were thick with ears
And happily settled in the house!

I'll play the pipe for you,
Having sung a carol to you,
And now I’m standing, sleeping -
I'm checking for a hotel!

Carol #23:

I fly with the Holy Day,
I wish everyone good health:
Lord at liberty,
Gentlemen, on your way,
For the boys and girls to party,
Little fun for the children...
Praise to Christ God!

Carol #24:

Oh on the river, on the Jordan,
The Most Holy Rizi was there,
She sang to her son,
The yalin was swaying.
Three Yangols arrived,
They took Christ to heaven.
All the heavens have opened,
We bowed to all the saints.

Carol #25:

Good evening to you, sir!
Bring us a couple of cowbass,
Oh, go around the stove,
Look for some gossip for us.
Wine lard, don't be stingy,
So that your barley is born,
Just press one hundred kip of life,
So that the whole sieve was filled!
There were so many cattle,
So the wheat was born,
The house needs everything -
The carolers were treated to a treat.
