Before any New Year, every housewife tries to find something original and unique, but beauty does not always match taste. Sometimes complicated recipes are very disappointing, and you don’t want to stay hungry on New Year’s. If you have a couple of dishes that you always traditionally cook for the holidays, then we suggest adding variety with a few simple recipes, but incredibly tasty dishes that you can cook even on any weekday.
1. Tomato salad
Ingredients for the salad: medium tomatoes of approximately the same size (depending on the number of guests), eggs - 4 pieces, hard cheese - 100 grams, mayonnaise and herbs.
Preparation: Boil eggs hard. Wash tomatoes and cut in half, remove the core. Grate eggs on a coarse grater. Grate cheese finely. Mix ingredients. Add mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Put the resulting mass in tomato halves and decorate with herbs on top.
2. Meat balls
Ingredients: minced pork and beef, 150 grams of each, one onion and salt and pepper, yolk, vegetable oil.
Preparation: Make your own puff pastry or buy ready-made from a supermarket. Mix the mince and add finely chopped onion. Roll out the dough and cut into thin strips. Form balls from the mince and roll them with strips of dough. Grease each lump with egg yolk. Pour sunflower oil into a baking tray, heat it up and put the "balls" in. Fry until fully cooked. Buckwheat porridge is perfect as a side dish.
3. Boneless shashlik
Ingredients: 200 grams of pork and beef mince, puff pastry, salt, pepper, skewers.
Preparation: mix the two types of minced meat, add salt and pepper to taste. Roll out the dough and cut into thin strips. Form small balls from the minced meat, thread onto a skewer and wrap with strips of dough. Place the skewers on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for half an hour at 200 degrees. Boiled potatoes would be a good side dish.
4. Appetizer "Bear's Paw"
Ingredients: pork 300 grams, hard cheese 100 grams, chicken eggs 3 pcs., a couple of cloves of garlic, onions, potatoes 1.5 kg, vegetable oil.
Preparation: Cut the pork into equal pieces. Beat each piece well and rub with salt, garlic, and pepper. Peel and grate the potatoes. Finely chop the onion and mix with the potatoes. Break the eggs into it and mix everything well until smooth. Form flat cakes and place on a piece of prepared pork. Fry in vegetable oil on both sides. The appetizer is great both hot and cold.
5. Tender trout
Ingredients: fresh trout - 1 kg, potatoes - 1 kg, sour cream - 500 grams, eggs - 3 pcs., onions - 3 pcs., lemon - half, salt, pepper, herbs to taste. Trout goes well with such a seasoning as thyme. You can also use tarragon.
Preparation: You can use whole fish or pieces. If you choose whole fish, you must first gut it and cut it into pieces. Then marinate it. Pour lemon juice over the fish, sprinkle with pepper and finely chopped thyme. The fish should lie in the marinade for half an hour. Meanwhile, peel the potatoes, cut into slices and salt. Sprinkle with oil, mix. Spread foil on a baking sheet and lay out the fish in pieces, then lay out a layer of potatoes. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. In the meantime, you can prepare the sauce. Beat the eggs until foamy, pour in sour cream, salt and pepper, mix well. After you take the baking sheet out of the oven, you need to pour the sauce over the fish. And put it back in the oven, but at a temperature of 200, also for 20 minutes. It is better to place the finished dish on a large round plate and decorate with lettuce leaves, dill and parsley.
6. Garten
Ingredients: potatoes 1 kg, hard cheese - 50 g, cream - 500 g, garlic - 3 cloves, salt, pepper, ginger.
Preparation: Peel the potatoes and cut into slices. Place on a baking sheet, add salt and pepper.
Add chopped garlic and ginger to the sour cream and pour it over the potatoes. Bake in the oven for 1 hour at 200 degrees. Sprinkle the potatoes with grated cheese 10 minutes before they are ready and return them to the oven so that the cheese has time to melt.
7. Crystal Salad
Ingredients: chicken fillet 200 g, eggs - 5 pcs., onion - 1 pc., potatoes 3 pcs., pickles - 3 pcs., mayonnaise for dressing. For jelly: 30 g gelatin, black peppercorns - 3 pcs., garlic - 1 clove, bay leaf.
Preparation: Boil the chicken fillet in salted water. Add garlic, bay leaf and pepper to the resulting broth. When the meat is ready, strain the broth and pour in gelatin. Leave until it swells. Pour some broth into a portioned transparent cup. The height of the gelatin cushion should be 2 cm. Leave to cool. Cut the boiled potatoes into cubes and place on the gelatin. Grease with mayonnaise. Put a layer of cucumbers, also cut into cubes. Then put a layer of chicken fillet, also in cubes. Grease with mayonnaise again. Put chopped eggs on top and another layer of mayonnaise. Pour in the broth with gelatin. After cooling, the salad will be “crystal”.
